Japan Art Unseen discovers distinctive artists, makers and independent creative voices — connecting Japanese talent with global audiences while introducing exceptional international artists to Japan.

Through curated collaborations, limited editions and crowdfunding launches, we create new ways for artists and collectors to meet across borders.

Japan Art Unseen exists to build lasting connections between artists and new markets — from Japan to the world, and from the world to Japan.

We respect each artist’s creative identity, working methods and pace. Our role is not simply to sell works, but to help create opportunities that can continue beyond a single project.

We collaborate with independent artists and makers from around the world to introduce selected works and Japan-exclusive projects to Japanese audiences.

CURATED PROJECTS & LIMITED EDITIONS

Rather than simply importing or exporting products, JAU develops story-led collaborations with artists.

Selected projects may include Japan-exclusive designs, limited editions, made-to-order works and crowdfunding launches.

Our goal is to introduce each artist’s work, process and story in a way that respects their creative identity while opening access to new audiences.

Curation Ethos

We uncover underrepresented talent and bring their work to collectors and audiences around the world. From concept to presentation, we focus on thoughtful curation that respects each artist’s voice.

Japan Art Unseen is operated by Blue Seagull Co., Ltd., an Osaka-based Japanese company with operating businesses in hospitality and food service.

These businesses are separate from JAU’s art projects and are presented here as corporate background for transparency.

Enalee Beach Villa, Ms White Beach Resort, REI GARDEN RESORT and Shirara Terrace are operated by Blue Seagull Co., Ltd. in Shirahama, Wakayama, welcoming guests from Japan and abroad.
